Last week some ladies and I took a mini work trip to Siavonga. It was my first time here but of course I have heard great things so I was excited.
We arrived just after lunch and quickly changed from jeans into more comfortable wear, and headed to the beach to drink in the calm water and delicious clean air. Lusaka was cold but siavonga was just the perfect temperature and humidity.
In fact, the day could only have gotten better if I could swim in the lake Kariba, but I was detarred by the huge sign that tasked me to “beware of crocodiles and hippos”. So I contented myself with feeling the warm sand under my feet and gorgeous views of the lake and islands.
After a few hours by the beach, the temperatures started to drop real quick so finally we left for warmer venues.
